Armory 20/20 should not be confused with RFID systems. RuBee provides the highest possible local and global weapon security. RFID based Armory systems provide no local security (can be blocked by a hand) and provide serious global security breaches. RFID systems are banned by most military and defense government customers because a passive or active RFID tag may be detected and read from up to 80 miles away (see
RuBee Security Academy) making any tagged weapon an easy to locate enemy target.

Because RuBee is magnetic (not RF), tags are not blocked by steel liquid or humans. RuBee is the only wireless technology to be approved for use in secure US Govt. facilities. RuBee has no Eavesdropping, Tempest or Target risk.

Armory 20/20 provides:

- Weapons Visibility - Smart Racks and Smart Guns

Unlike Radio Frequency (RF), RuBee is a magnetic wireless technology and is not blocked by people or steel (see RuBee Academy). That means a RuBee enabled weapon can be automatically located and identified on a steel rack (see Smart Weapons Smart Racks ), as well as sensitive detection of assets as the enter or leave a room (see Smart Portals).

- Allegro 20/20 Weapons Shot Counters

RuBee tags can have optional NIST accelerometer sensors that can provide "Weapons Shot Counting" for optimized weapon preventive maintenance, and advanced waveform analysis that provides Mean Kinetic Shots as well as barrel temperature. RuBee shot counters were selected by the Department of Defense for special forces weapons, and in independent tests had 99% plus accuracy (see Weapons Healthcare).

- Automated Weapons Check In/Out

Armory 20/20 has optional check In/Out issuance stations with bar code readers, mag stripe readers. These networked terminals gRaps, have easy to use interactive touch screens. Armory 20/20 also provides handhelds with RuBee reader and optional barcode reader. Armory 20/20 delivers armory automation and weapon's visibility with minimal process change and training.

- Absolute Weapons Security - Exit Entry Weapons Detection

RuBee wireless technology is installed in some of the most secure facilities in the world for detection of mission critical assets on exit/entry. Unlike RF systems RuBee is not blocked by people, liquids or steel. See Smart Portals for more details and live demos in video tab where a laptop is wrapped in Aluminum foil placed in a steel brief case and is still detected on exit.

- Absolute Site Security - No Tempest or Eavesdropping Risk

RuBee wireless asset networks is the only wireless system that has ever been allowed in US secure areas. Unlike RF systems RuBee signals drop off 1/r3 not 1/r. That translates into ability to actively manage range and limit ability to eavesdrop on RuBee signals. RuBee has no Tempest, Target or Eavesdropping risk. Details may be found in Security Academy.

- Automated Inventory Reports and BATF Audit Logs

Armory 20/20 produces standardized inventory reports and histories, with back up audit trails for BATF audits. The audit trails meet DoD 5015.2 standards as well as CFR 21 Part11 standards.

- No OSHA or Human Safety Issues

RuBee is human safe. RuBee is many millions of times below the OSHA safe limits for RF exposure (40 nano watts) and has no OSHA issues and no other human safety issues. Human safety around RF has become an important topic. Many RF and RFID systems are required by OSHA to issue safety sheets with warnings, RuBee systems have no such requirement. Two independent papers have been published by the Mayo Clinic showing RuBee has no effect on pacemakers ICD's or medical equipment found in Operating Rooms. IEEE 1902.1 was classified by the FDA as a Class 1, Non Significant Risk (NSR) by the FDA in 2006.

- No HERO, HERF or Intrinsic Safety Issues

RuBee is in use in some of the most explosive sites on the planet. Its signal simply does not have enough energy to produce a spark even in an optimally tuned coil. Because of Planck's law (see RuBee Academy) RuBee does not require much energy to read and write to tags, yet it still goes through steel and water. A typical loop antenna system produces about 600 mGauss and a RuBee tag produces about 40 mGauss. The earth's magnetic field is about 700 mGauss, and the EAS anti-theft systems seen in retail stores produces about 3,000 mGauss. Most cell phones will erase the strip on a credit card, but RuBee tags and antennas are so weak they have no effect on a mag stripe credit card.

- No Covert Detection of Weapons in the Field

With Zero Field Detection activated the tag turns itself off when a leaves a secure facility. It becomes undetectable in the field. We also have many other advanced security options. RuBee tags are tiny computers with memory that can be programed to do just about anything you want to manage security. How Does Armory 20/20 Work ?

Step 1. Standard RuBee MIL STD 810G tags are installed on each firearm, and initialized with mission critical data using a pRap - a rugged iTouch handheld.
Stacks Image 2419
Stacks Image 2423
Visible sells a wide variety of rugged RuBee tags that can be used on weapons (See Smart Weapon Tab). In some case the tags are inserted into a standard grip, and in other cases they fit into the weapon as an insert or are placed on the barrel. The tags can be read on Smart Racks, by the issuance station, and on exit/entry through any RP2 equipped portal. A pRap (see pRap Tab), a rugged iTouch handheld commissions each tag with a unique address and weapons data specified by end-user. Tags have 500 bytes of data storage, with full alphanumerics to store the original serial number, internal serial ID's, manufacturer name, model, dates, and users. All data fields are specified by the user. Tags may also have optional sensors for high accuracy shot counting (see Allegro 20/20).
Step 2. RuBee enabled weapons are placed on Smart Racks. Smart Racks provide real-time physical inventory of all RuBee enabled weapons.
Stacks Image 2432
Weapons are stored in Smart RuBee Racks (see Smart Rack Tab). Smart Racks automatically record weapon physical inventory. Smart Racks eliminate costly and time consuming counts and checks of serial numbers and audit reports in any armory. Physical inventory is fully automated with unchallengeable digital audits many times each day. RuBee wireless has successfully provided real-time physical inventory for mission critical assets in harsh environments with steel and liquids for several years. RuBee racks are in widespread use within US, providing the ultimate in enhanced security and reduced costs.
Step 3. RuBee enabled weapons are removed from the Smart Rack issued to guard via a gRap.
Stacks Image 2441
When weapons are removed from the Smart Rack they are automatically removed from physical inventory. The next step is to transfer "ownership" from the stored armory to a responsible end-user. Each weapon is passed by a gRap (Issuance Station) the tag is read and weapon or other mission critical assets is automatically "checked out". The process is reversed on "check in". The date and time the weapon and ID of both the "storekeeper" and "guard" receiving the weapon is recorded. The gRap has a CAC card reader and an optional 2D barcode reader to issue and manage all mission critical assets..
Step 4. RuBee enabled weapons, and guard ID may be detected as they exit enter though a portal, or guard station.
Stacks Image 2450
The RuBee Portal Platform (RP2) can be configured as a DoorGuard to detect RuBee enabled assets as they exit or enter a room through a door (see RP2 Smart Portals). The RP2 may be configured for single person door or wide double doors, or gates. It can automatically read ID's and detect assets carried by a person as they walk through the portal. Because the RuBee signal is magnetic it is not blocked by people, liquids or steel. The RP2 can also be configured as GateGuard for asset and ID detection inside moving vehicles at exit/entry gates. Both GateGuard and DoorGuard can detect assets covertly hidden inside steel cases wrapped in aluminum foil (see White paper).
Step 5. Oracle Dot-Tag and the Armory 20/20 application integrate and manage all RuBee enabled appliances, and provides real-time reports status, as well as human resource management.
Stacks Image 2459
Oracle Dot-Tag and the Armory 20/20 application integrate all RuBee appliances (pRaps, gRaps, Smart Racks and RP2s) and can manage 10's to 100's of armories country wide or world wide. (see Dot-Tag and 20/20 ). Armory 20/20 systems are all web enabled applications, that can be customized to meet visibility and security needs. Armory 20/20 systems are in use in many US government facilities, ask us for a live video demo. Armory 20/20 insures maximum automated security of stored and distributed mission critical assets with minimal change in process and maximum reduction of costs.
