Security using any any wireless system can be complex and risky. Most secure facilities that store mission critical assets around the world simply ban the use of all wireless systems. The FBI has said publicly wireless systems are simply insecure and anyone can get on-line software to crack most WiFi security WEP WPA WPA2 encryption (see WiFi is no longer a viable secure connection) . In 2005 the FBI set up a demonstration (see FBI Teaches Lesson In How To Break Into Wi-Fi Network) and cracked any WEP WiFi network within three minutes.

RuBee Visibility Networks are installed in some of the highest, most secure sites in the world providing real-time, mission critical asset visibility, where all other wireless RF systems have been banned. Why ? because RuBee goes beyond the data encryption layer, and provides a secure physical data communication layer that eliminates the risk of eavesdropping, tempest threat and target threat.

We review the important issues associated with any secure asset visibility network in a detailed white paper, (RuBee (IEEE 1902.1) – The Physics Behind, Real-Time, High Security Wireless Asset Visibility Networks in Harsh Environments, J Stevens, C. Weich, R. Gilchrist, September 2010) published at a recent International Security Conference sponsored by the IEEE.
